Board President
CLIFFORD DARRETT
Clifford Darrett is a charter member of AAVAG and has served in all elected offices of AAVAG. He is a professional artist, musician and a Jazz disk jockey at WDPS radio station in Dayton. Cliff is an Emeritus Board member and serves as a resource person for AAVAG. He has an Associate Degree in Electronic Data Processing from Sinclair Community College, a Bachelor Degree in Business Adminisration from Central State University and a Masters of Computer Science from The University of Dayton. Clifford, whose artwork is in many public and private collections in the United States is an oil painter of contemporary realism and African American history. He is a retired General Motors employee and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

ANDREA CUMMINGS
Andrea Cummings, is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, she is AAVAG's Gallery Curator, and she has served as Secretary of the general membership, First and Second Vice-President of the Board of Trustees and Chair and Co-Chair of the Program Development Committee of the general membership. Andrea is a fabric artist whose artwork is in many public and private businesses.
Andrea is an Emerita board of trustee member of AAVAG.

Recording Secretary
CEDRIC McGHEE
Cedric McGhee is the Chairman of the ACTSO Division of the Dayton NAACP. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He also has a Masters of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton, Cedric is also a Lifetime member of the NAACP.

Craig Screven
Craig Screven is a graduate of The Ohio State University and a professional artist. Craig brings to AAVAG the expertise of organization and has served in many capacities of leadership. A diligent worker and volunteer in many of AAVAG's events and workshops, he has also chaired many committees. His digital artwork is in many public and private places.

DWAYNE DANIEL
Dwayne Daniel is a charter member of AAVAG, a professiomal artist and Fine Arts Professor at Central State University. He has served as President of the organization. He has a Fine Art Degree from Central State University and a Masters of Fine Arts from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio. Dwayne is an Emeritus Board member and serves as a resource person for AAVAG, and is the Chair of the Arts and Education Committee. Dwaynes' prize winning artwork is in many private and public places in the United states.

Dr. Judith L. Huacuja
Dr. Judith L. Huacuja is a Chicana arts scholar who researches and teaches Latin American, Chicano and African American contemporary art histories. With a PhD in Art History, Dr. Huacuja's research explores the cultural histories in African American as well as Latin American art of the Midwest. Dr. Huacuja's research grants include the College Art Association Cummings Fellowship, the Smithsonian Institution's Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Ohio Humanities Council grants and an Ohio Arts Council grant. Dr. Huacuja has undertaken numerous curatorial projects including "Masks, Music, and Musings: A Retrospective Exhibition and Symposium on the Art of Curtis Barnes Sr." and "Marking the Past/Shaping the Present: The Art of Willis Bing Davis.

Trustee
Joslynn v. harris
Joslynn V. Harris has been an accountant for over 40 years. Her vast career encompasses accounting, finance and tax preparation including Estate, Trust, Gift Tax, Probate as well as individual and business taxes. Ms. Harris earned her associate’s degree from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH, her bachelor’s degree from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. She also earned her Master of Accounting and Financial Management degree from Keller Graduate School of Management. Ms. Harris is a licensed financial professional specializing in providing tailored financial solutions for her clients. Ms. Harris’ passion is to help clients increase their understanding of how finances work through teaching financial literacy, which is the foundation for securing positive forward advancements in life. Ms. Harris also has artistic creativity aspect in her life. She designs and creates hand-crafted beaded jewelry for men, women and home decor.
